The Black Diamond
The venue for Open World Conference 2022 is the Black Diamond, the Royal Danish Library.

The venue

Open World Conference 2022 will take place in the Queen's Hall in the building the Black Diamond, home to the Royal Danish Library. The Black Diamond stands on the Copenhagen's waterfront with a beautiful view over the harbour. 

The Queen's Hall is one of Denmark's most elegant conference and concert halls. In the Queen's Hall the acoustics are unbeatable, the hall is equipped with comfortable cinema seats, and because of the sloping floor everyone can easily see the stage. Besides the hall we have access to the beautiful atrium, where the meals will be served.

Taxi: To the Black Diamond costs approx. 325 DKK. Taxi to Copenhagen Central Station costs approx. 350 DKK.

Public transport: To get to the Black Diamond, take the metro M2 (runs every 5 mins) towards Vanløse Station and stop at Kongens Nytorv. Walk 5 min to Holmens Kirke (Holmens Kanal), take Bus 26 towards Bellahøj, and stop at Det Kongelige Bibliotek (Christians Brygge). Travel time is approx. 30 min.

To get from the airport to Copenhagen Central Station, take the train towards Østerport and stop at København H (Hovedbanegården). Travel time is approx. 20 min.



Taxi: To the Black Diamond costs approx. 100 DKK. Taxi to Copenhagen Airport costs approx. 310 DKK.

Public Transport: To get to the Black Diamond, walk to the stop at the central station named Hovedbanegården, Tivoli (Bernstorffsgade). Take Bus 26 towards Sankt Annæ Plads, Skuespilhuset and stop at Det Kongelige Bibliotek (Christians Brygge). Travel time is approx. 5 min.

To get from Copenhagen Central station to the airport, take the train directly and stop at CPH Lufthavn. Travel time is approx. 20 min.



Tickets for bus, train, and metro

You can buy single-trip tickets at ticket vending machines or 7-Eleven kiosks at the train and metro stations. Additionally, you can buy single-trip tickets with the 'DOT Tickets' app. All public transport tickets in Copenhagen are valid on bus, train and metro.

Finding the Queen's Hall

The Queen's Hall is on the ground floor of the Black Diamond. Enter through the revolving doors at Søren Kierkegaards Plads, and the hall will be easy to find. We will of course setup signs and personnel to help you find your way. 


Where to stay

Conference attendants are recommended to book accommodation well in advance of the conference.
