Practical information

Open World Conference 2025 is taking place in the Queen's Hall at The Black Diamond in central Copenhagen. 

The Black Diamond is a cultural center in Copenhagen that houses The Royal Library and hosts a café, several reading rooms and events and exhibitions all year round. The Black Diamond opened in 1999 and was built to fit with the original library building from 1906. Read more about the Black Diamond

As a participant in the Open World Conference, you are warmly invited to visit the current exhibitions free of charge. Collect your free ticket in the gift shop.

Visitors to The Black Diamond receive a 20% discount on the fees which are paid upon departure. A QR code that gives you access to the discount will be provided at the Conference Registration Desk.

Arriving on foot

The Black Diamond is located by the Copenhagen harbour and is a 20-minute walk from Copenhagen Central Station (in Danish: Københavns Hovedbanegård / KBH H). See the route here.

Arriving by metro

The closest metro station Gammel Strand, which is on both the blue M4 and the red M3 line, is a 9-minute walk from The Black Diamond

Accessibility & Disability

Parking: Motorists with a disability parking sign/permit can park at Søren Kierkegaards Plads in connection with a visit to The Black Diamond. The site has six disability parking spaces. These cannot be reserved.

Wheelchair access: The Black Diamond is wheelchair accessible and has toilets that have wheelchair access. Wheelchair access to The Queens Hall is via elevator and through the backstage. Library staff will be on hand to assist.
